Graham began drumming 16 years ago under the guidance of Doug Stronach.  Playing as lead drummer in his mother Gail's Milton Optimist Pipe Band, Graham won two world championships, Juvenile in 1994 and Grade 3 in 1997.

After two seasons with the Peel Police Pipe Band and two with the 78th Fraser Highlanders,  Graham joined the famous Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia Pipe Band and has played with them for the last six seasons.  During that time Shotts has won two World Pipe Band Championships and three World Drum Corps Championships.

Graham has been a semi-finalist for the last three years at the World Solo Drumming Championships, and lists as his major influences Doug Stronach,  Alex Duthart,  Jim Kilpatrick, and his brother, Blair Brown.
